Our spirit, your whisky
From the 30th October until the 8th November, cocktail enthusiasts across the world come together to enjoy Old Fashioned Week - that's ten full days of celebrating, you guessed it, the iconic Old Fashioned cocktail!
A traditional Old Fashioned is made with Bourbon Whiskey, sugar, aromatic bitters and orange peel and is diluted by using lots of ice. Like many cocktails, the origin is shrouded in the mist of time, but the cocktail was first mentioned in a New York paper, The Balance and Columbian Repository, in 1806 and is thought to be the primordial cocktail of all time. Since then, we have seen lots of variations of this straight-forward cocktail.
Our Head of Mixology, Oliver Morris, has created an Old Fashioned using our Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky which we hope you'll enjoy making at home. Scroll down to find the recipe!
