For this week's Distillery Sessions, Ollie has created an Old Fashioned Ragtime cocktail for you to enjoy whilst watching Rag Mama Rag's live performance. With only three ingredients, why not give this simple cocktail a go!
Ragtime originated in African American music in the late 19th Century and descended from the jigs and march music played by African American bands. Visions of toe tapping to the “ragged” rhythm and sipping on an Old Fashioned cocktail would have been a must before Prohibition laws in the 1920s.
Our Old Fashioned Ragtime is simplicity in a glass. Delicious notes of sweet barley, hints of caramel and overtones of toasted butterscotch, with a bitter marmalade finish. Enjoy!
