Our own Cotswolds Dry Gin forms the base of this summer cup, to which we add a homemade vermouth, our Spirited Sherry and a splash of triple sec to finish it off.
Rich, spicy and complex, with a fruity lift. This is a far more grown-up alternative to the familiar summer cup out there.
We wanted to make as many elements of this complex drink ourselves – so we even went as far as creating our own vermouth. This involved sourcing wine from a local vineyard, Woodchester Valley in Stroud, and then blending it with bitter caramel and a botanical tea of macerated herbs and spices. After weeks of tinkering with the perfect proportions of gin, vermouth, sherry and triple sec, we ended up with this delicious number in which the Cotswolds Dry Gin can shine.
For the perfect serve, fill a large balloon glass with 1 part Cotswolds Summer Cup over plenty of ice, top with 2 parts ginger ale or lemonade and garnish with fresh mint, cucumber and a slice of pink grapefruit.
