PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE 

  • To develop marketing strategies that optimise Cotswolds premium portfolio with a particular focus on whisky.
  • Ensure detailed and action orientated plans are developed and implemented across all key markets in order to drive long-term sustainable brand share and profitable growth

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead the co-ordination of our brand marketing planning and execution activities for our key brands
  • Take a leading role in the briefing of the team and partner agencies to create the annual brand plan
  • Work with the Marketing Director on strategic initiatives, in particular accelerating and optimizing our whisky brand building opportunities
  • Work with the team and partner agencies to deliver activity which meets brand objectives
  • Ensure activity remains within agreed budgeted investment levels
  • Project manage the delivery of NPD initiatives
  • Ensure activity has KPIs and is measured and evaluated
  • Manage and develop the team (Digital & PR Manager, Events & Activation Manager, Marketing Assistant)
  • Build strong working relationships with the department, wider Distillery team, agencies, distributors and partners.
  • Work with the Creative Director on developing creative assets
  • Work with the Marketing Director to identify opportunities to drive stronger awareness, engagement, and conversion to purchase
  • Develop activation plans for key international markets with our distributor partners
  • Attendance at customer meetings as required to present brand plans and shape customer activity
  • Ensure all activity is compliant with relevant alcohol regulations.
  • Any other duties reasonably requested.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS. EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Educated to degree level.
  • 5+ years experience of luxury spirits brand marketing, with a proven track
  • record in building premium brands
  • A strong commercial mindset and ability to recommend pricing strategy
  • Proven experience of developing and running digital communication
  • campaigns
  • ‘Can do’ and exploratory mindset, ability to think differently
  • Ability to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial business, manage multiple
  • initiatives and go the extra mile to make a difference.
  • A passion and energy for working with teams and partners to amplify
  • investment to achieve our strategic goals
  • Out of hours/weekend social media monitoring – rota shared within the team
  • Will require occasional travel to events across the country/internationally with
  • overnight stay.
  • Full, clean driving license.

Head Chef

A fantastic opportunity to work in a tight knit team specialising in hand-crafted pizzas, sandwiches and boards. From preparing pizza dough, slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats and executing customers’ orders considering special requests, you’ll help increase client satisfaction by preparing high-quality food.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Prepare pizzas from menu, based on customer order
  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of pizza doughs, including thin crust, thick crust and cheese-stuffed
  • Make fresh tomato, pesto and white cream sauces
  • Wash and chop vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, onions and mushrooms
  • Cut, slice and grill meats like chicken, ham and beef
  • Use less traditional ingredients; vegan cheese / gluten-free flour
  • Be capable of cooking pizzas in wood-fired, gas or electric ovens
  • Removing pizzas from oven and preparing them for serving or sale
  • Monitor food stock and place orders as needed
  • Recommend new recipes to update menus
  • Ensuring countertops are kept clean and tidy, maintaining oven and cooking utensils and a clean cooking station at all times
  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality fresh food dishes within the speciality section
  • Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards, assisting with food hygiene practices
  • Manage stock control including clear labelling and stock rotation
  • Monitoring portion and waste control

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Work experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza doughs
  • Ability to use professional kitchen equipment and brick or stone pizza oven
  • Understanding of food hygiene
  • Reliability, professionalism and speed
  • Strong communication skills
  • Great interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Diploma from a culinary school is an advantage
  • Full driving license and own transport is desirable
  • Knowledge and ability to run a section and work without close supervision
  • Enthusiasm to develop personal skills and knowledge, and those of the team members
  • Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
  • City & Guilds 706/1 | 706/2 Catering certificate or NVQ Level 2 qualification is preferable
  • Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards (Level 3 would be an advantage)
  • Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Award is desirable
