WHISKY BLENDING MASTERCLASS

Join us for our Whisky Blending Masterclass, where you’ll learn all about what makes our award-winning whiskies so special, and where you’ll be able to blend your very own whisky.

Whilst you’re enjoying your Highball whisky cocktail on arrival, we’ll talk you through the history of whisky and our Cotswolds Distillery story. We’ll then take you on a guided tour around the distillery and into the warehouse, where you’ll learn all about the magic of whisky maturation, including the different types of barrels we use to age our whiskies and what flavours they impart.

After gaining an insight into the whisky-making process, your host will give you an introduction on how to nose whisky before you smell and taste the four cask strength samples aged in different barrels. Once you’ve decided on the flavour profile you’d like to create, we’ll help you blend your own whisky using the different cask samples.

We’ll then shake things up a little and show you how to make a whisky cocktail with your blended single malt whisky, before bottling up the rest for you to take home in a presentation box. We’ll also give you a 20cl bottle of our flagship Cotswolds Signature Single Malt Whisky so that you can enjoy a dram with family and friends. Our shop will be open afterwards if you’d like to explore the rest of our range of spirits.

Please note, a soft drink option will be made available for those not drinking. Over 18s only.

Accessibility:

At the Cotswolds Distillery, we want all of our guests to enjoy their visit with us. However, due to the nature of our site and building layout, there are some accessibility limitations that we would like to make our visitors aware of before booking.

Unfortunately, our masterclasses are held upstairs and are not accessible to wheelchair users or those unable to manage stairs.
