Rooted in the Cotswolds

Our distillery sits in the rolling hills near Stourton, in the north Cotswolds. Everything we make is shaped by this place, from the barley that grows here, the soil it grows in and the countryside all around us.

Our barley

Single malt needs just three things: water, yeast and barley. Ours is grown 15 minutes away at Akeman Street Farm by Michael Greene, a fifth-generation farmer. We know the farm, the family and the field where every bottle begins.

Why place matters

Cotswolds limestone soil warms up and dries out quickly in spring, so our barley is sown around March and ripens early in a short growing season. Every year, and every field, is a little different. Each harvest captures that year in the Cotswolds, and we believe you can taste it.

See it for yourself

Walk the site, tour the stillhouse, then stop for lunch at the café. The best way to understand our whisky is to come and see where it's distilled.
