Twelve years ago we opened the doors to our distillery in the heart of the Cotswolds, with a simple ambition - to make world-class spirits right here in one of England's most beautiful countryside. This weekend we're celebrating in style with a special anniversary whisky release and a birthday party at The Hidden Still. We thought it was the perfect opportunity to look back at everything that's happened since our 11th anniversary in 2025.
We Launched The Hidden Still Cocktail Bar
We opened our very own cocktail bar, right here at the distillery in Stourton. Open on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm through to the end of September, The Hidden Still is guided by our Head of Mixology Ollie Morris, who has been part of the distillery team for over a decade and knows how to utilise the flavours of our spirits better than just about anyone. The drinks menu showcases the best of what we make - gin and whisky cocktails, house classics and seasonal long drinks, all crafted using our award-winning spirits. Our site has grown a lot over the years - working distillery, warehouse, cafe, shop and terrace - and The Hidden Still added an evening dimension to the experience.
Our Wildlife is Thriving!
Nature is at the heart of what we do here. It shapes our landscape, our botanicals, and our spirits. If you've visited us this summer, you'll know our distillery is so much more than the stills. Step outside and there's a whole host of nature surrounding us. Bees on the lavender, butterflies drifting over the terrace, and a fair few residents who call this patch of the Cotswolds home!
We Launched Hearts & Crafts 7
Every year we release a new expression in our Hearts & Crafts series, celebrating the Arts & Crafts movement that flourished right here in the Cotswolds between the 1890s and the 1920s. This year's release - number seven - spent a decade in American oak Madeira casks to produce the most delicious flavours. Cherries, toffee, freshly baked Bakewell tart and the bright tang of dried strawberries.
We Launched Cotswolds Wild Spritz
Our first ever aperitivo was launched this summer! Inspired by the English countryside, our aperitivo combines flavours of orange zest, lemon balm, calendula with a clean bittersweet finish. Available directly from us and in selected Cotswolds bars and pubs.
Alice was Crowned Global Distillery Manager of the Year
We couldn't write a birthday roundup without mentioning this incredible achievement. Alice Pearson joined us back in 2017 starting out in the bottling hall, working her way through the NPD lab - where she created our award-winning Old Tom Gin - and in 2022 became the youngest Distillery Manager of all time. Last year she was officially crowned Global Distillery Manager of the Year 2026. We couldn't be prouder to have her leading the team.
Our White Pheasant New Make Spirit Won Gold
If you've been to one of our tours at the distillery, you'll know that good whisky starts long before it reaches a cask. This year our White Pheasant New Make Spirit took Category and Country Winner and Gold at the World Whiskies Awards, a wonderful reminder that what goes into our barrels is every bit as good as what comes out!
Meet our 12th Birthday Edition Whisky
To mark twelve years, we've bottled something really special. This single cask whisky was filled back in 2017 and was left to mature in a 1st fill ex-Bourbon barrel ever since. On the nose, expect inviting aromas of vanilla, almond and walnut. On the palate, rich and rounded with soft stone fruit carrying through to a beautifully smooth, easy finish. Bottled at 50% ABV and limited to just 182 bottles, it's a whisky that captures everything we love about our home in the Cotswolds.
